Family Photos!

A few weeks ago, we got family photos done (instead of doing just 1st birthday pics).  Mary from Mary Neumann Photography did them and she did GREAT!!!  Take a look!

Eric is 13 months and amazing!

Eric is THRIVING! This little man is just plain awesome! He is growing up so fast and he is so freakin cute! He can do so much and I'm so proud of him....

He helps vacuum.
He runs.
He says mama, dada, mommy, daddy, baby, baba (bottle).
He can point to his head when asked.
He knows a cow says moo.
He follows one-step directions (most of the time ;)
He is so independent.
He can "scoot" up and down the steps all by himself.
He sits at his big kid table all by himself.
He drinks from a straw.
He eats big people food all the time.
He dances to pretty everything with music.
He "scolds" the dogs for barking.
He can give himself medicine (he was antibiotics this week and insisted on doing it himself)
He can brush his teeth.
He gets the mail.
He reorganizes the kitchen on a daily basis.
He helps put away groceries and dishes.
He has a girlfriend (the baby at Miss Cindy's).
He has a baby doll that he takes very good care of.
He can {almost} ride his scooter independently.
He's practicing carrying his bucket for trick or treating.
He gives kisses and hugs.

He can melt your heart.

He can change your life.

He has changed mine.

And I love him for it!

Eric, you are my world and I am so happy to be your mommy and watch you grow into an amazing little boy!!

Eric Scott = One Year Old!

It's hard to believe that a whole year has gone by since our little man entered the world and changed our lives forever.

Little Man is now 12 months old!! YIKES! That went fast!

I can't believe how much our lives have been changed for the super duper better since this precious little guy got here...sure, there have been some tough times (nursing troubles, sleepless nights, high anxiety, going back to work), but the good times certainly outweigh them (smiles, hugs, kisses, first steps, first crawls, first words, snuggles, silliness, the list goes on!!).  Eric has brought such joy to our family and I can't wait to see what this next year has in store for us.

He did great at his 12 month doctor visit and is thriving! (I love that word!)

{weight}: 23 lbs. 1 oz.

{length}: 32 inches!!

{head circumference}: 49.5 cm (big old head!)

Ricky and I are doing a 12 month photo shoot with Eric next week/weekend, so look for photos in that post!

Eric is 11 months!

Another late monthly post folks!

But here we are! (no monthly pic)

{weight}: 23 lbs.

{length}: still not 100% but definitely over 30 inches

{walking}: this kid won't stop walking! he's close to running now!  he's so confident and wants to walk everywhere we go!

{eating}: he's eating us out of house and home (jk!) but the little man can eat! he loves waffles, cheerios, blueberries, grapes, "cookies", and much much more.

{social interaction}: our little boy is quite the little socialite!  he loves talking to people and enjoys sharing his toys and the fun noises they make! i love watching him interact with us and the dogs too!

{sleeping}: not sure if he's not eating enough or just wants a midnight snack but he's still getting up around 4 or 5 a.m. pretty consistently.  every now and then, we'll get to sleep through the night, but usually he wants that snack!  but he does put himself to sleep for his naps and bedtime! he's such a big boy!

Eric's birthday is right around the corner!  My little man will officially be a TODDLER!!!!

Eric's first trip to the "beach"...

So it's not Nags Head or Tampa, but it still has sand, water and waves.  We were invited by a dear friend to go to the nearby state park that has a beach area.  Ricky and I have been there with the dogs in the off-season and to picnic but never went swimming or "beached".  So Eric and I went today with my friend, Brandi and her little one and we had a blast.  I couldn't take many photos because it was just me and I didn't want to get my phone wet or sandy, but I did snap two.  He loved the water, the sand and crawling around.  We truly have a beach bum on our hands!

I guess the sand was tasty!

Eric is 10 months!

Ok, not really. He's actually 3 days past 11 months, but, yet again, we are slackers and forgot to take his 10 month photo until he turned 11 months.  Go figure! We are busy people and busy people are allowed to forget things once in a while.  So here goes:

 Our little baby has turned into our little boy right before our eyes! Look how handsome he is!!

{weight}: at 10 months, I think he was between 21 and 22 lbs.

{length}: not 100% sure on this one but definitely over 30 inches, this kid is growing!

he enjoys crawling under the coffee table, so it has since been removed to help mommy from worrying!

BUSTED!

 {Playing}:

He is actually playing with things and trying to figure things out.  He knows that the TV remote makes the TV do things so he'll pick it up and hold it up to it, but he hasn't figured out that the buttons do the work.  It's so cute!  He dances to music and loves a specific song on his baby einstein videos and will dance to it every time!  His joint attention is out of this world (leave it to me to pay attention to that kind of stuff)! He wants to share everything and every moment with us and we love it!

 {Eating}:

This kid eats everything! I am still cautious with his solids because he doesn't have any molars yet, but he will try pretty much anything (except for peas, still).  He still loves waffles and sweet potatoes!

 {Baby gibberish}:

This little man never shuts up! He always has something to say and we can't wait to hear the human translation once he gets real words.  He knows who mama and dada are and I'm trying to teach him baba to request a bottle.  So far, he's good with his own little language and telling us how it is!  It's just too cute!  He even pairs expressions and gestures with his words!

 {Walking}:

Yes, he can walk! More like take strolls around the house.  He's been walking since about 10 and a half months and he is doing great! He prefers to walk over crawling and is so proud of himself!

So Eric already turned 11 months, but I will be doing a post for that with a photo so stick around!  His first birthday is right around the corner!!
