36 weeks...

how far along? 36 weeks and 6 days.

size of baby? Doctor said he is head down, about 19 inches long and around 6 pounds.  The ultrasound pic wasn't so great, since he wasn't very cooperative (again!).

heartbeat? right around 145 bpm

total weight gain/loss? right around 30 pounds.

maternity clothes? yes, yes and yes and loving those dresses!

stretch marks? got a few on my under-belly....ugh!

rings on/off? off and I miss them a lot!

innie or outtie? total outtie!

sleep? doing okay, just getting up to pee.

best moment this week? 1.  Officially moving out of our apartment and turning in the keys!  2. The ultrasound on Monday was great! I love seeing him.  It wasn't a great session because his face is right up against my uterus, but he is still absolutely adorable! I can't believe I only have about 3 and 1/2 weeks to go! Eek!

movement? he is moving around still but slower and harder.  He doesn't have much room in there anymore!

food cravings? sticking with ice cold anything, especially ice itself!!

gender? Little man Eric!

how are you feeling? still getting rid of this darn cold, but feeling okay otherwise.  I can't do too much of anything cuz I get winded very easily, so I'm taking it easy!

what i miss: Mainly just sleeping on my stomach, chocolate, ketchup and spaghetti and meatballs.

what i'm looking forward to: Only 3 and 1/2 weeks to go and we finally get to meet our sweet baby boy!!!

27 weeks...

I know, I know, we are total slackers and missed the bump photo again.  I type this sentence with wet hair and pj's as I get ready for bed so I super duper promise that we will take one this week.  I guess that will give you a really good comparison from 24 weeks to 28 weeks!

how far along? 27 weeks and 6 days.

size of baby? the size of a rutabaga (what the hell is that?!) about 15 inches long from (head to toe) and a little over 2 pounds!

heartbeat? my last ultrasound read 153 bpm

total weight gain/loss? I think I'm about 18 total. Had my 3 hour glucose test...never got a call from my doctor so I'm assuming that's good!

maternity clothes? yes, yes and yes.

stretch marks? nope.

rings on/off? off and I miss them a lot! (tried them on yesterday and I couldn't even get them past my knuckle...they do fit my pinky now tho!)

innie or outtie? poking out just a tiny little bit on top; I will definitely be an outtie in the next few weeks.

sleep? sleeping okay...switching sides throughout the night but not too bad, getting up to pee and wearing no covers at all...ricky thinks it's funny how hot I get at night! :)

best moment this week? scheduling our housing counseling appointment, doing some walk-thru's of properties and getting ready to buy a house! so excited!

movement? moving around all the time..especially right after meals or any snacks.

food cravings? sticking with ice cold milk and my go-to decaf iced tea with no sugar...yummy! corn on the cob has been a favorite lately too!

gender? IT'S A BOY!

how are you feeling? always hot, pretty irritable (i won't lie) and sarcastically enjoying these crazy hormones.  Other than that, loving the feeling of Eric moving around, love being pregnant and feeling so connected to him and loving my super supportive, understanding and patient husband. :)

what i miss: Mainly just sleeping on my stomach, ketchup and spaghetti and meatballs.

what i'm looking forward to: ready to buy a house, start the nursery, go home again, meet Eric and be parents!

Eric's Nursery

So we have decided on the theme for Eric's nursery.  We went back and forth between a couple contenders, but I love the final pick and I think Eric will love it too (once he can appreciate it...)!

So here are the contenders:

Safari Express from Babies R Us...it's cute but a little too babyish and not bright enough for me.  Ricky liked it best.

Animal Parade from Babies R Us...I liked this a lot until I couldn't find it anymore.  It would be good for a little girl if that would be our next...Ricky didn't favor this one too much.

After going through Babies R Us and registering for little blankets, there were some with little monsters on them and I fell in love!  Well Babies R Us carries Peek-a-boo Monsters theme and it was just too cute!

But....
after a google image search for monster nursery ideas to get better photos of the Peek-a-boo theme, I found a better idea! We wanted bright and a little more saturated than pastels from the beginning so this was just perfect! And not so babyish that it could be transformed into a toddler room with little effort!

Isn't it adorable!?  And I get to DIY a lot of the stuff! So excited about that!  The bedding is from Target and is called Geo Brights.  Love that it's pretty neutral and you can do almost anything with it.

I went to Joann's today to look at some fabrics that would be cute as curtains or pillows and found some cute things.

I like this one for a fleece blanket that I can make for little man.  It will be perfect!

This one is my favorite! Might be the winner!  We'll have to see after the bedding gets here.
So I don't want to give away too much as to what will be in the nursery...you'll just have to wait and see when it's all done! Maybe I'll give little sneak peeks along the way... ;)
